The official Samsung Galaxy Tab site have been updated with alot of new information, videos and specifications. The Galaxy Tab just looks better abd better, if you ask me. I truly believe that this will be the new mega-hit on the tablet market. It will take especially Europe with storm.

Make sure you checkout the “Tutorial” under “Video” on their site. You can find the official site her: Samsung Galaxy Tab

September 18th, 2010Where To Buy Samsung Galaxy Tab?

If you want to secure a Samsung Galaxy Tab for yourself once it’s realeased, pre-order it from one of the large online stores. You will get prioritized when it’s realeased. So far I’ve found three online stores that allow pre-order and I will update this post if others appear.

If you’re from Germany or Deutschland as you may prefer to call it, and you want a Galaxy Tab, you can buy it from Amazon DE:

The sales price in Germany seems as expected. I can guarantee that the Galaxy Tab will be worth every penny. Secure your Galaxy Tab today!

If you’re from the UK, I’ve found two options for you. The first option is Amazon UK:

The sales price offered there seems very attractive. It’s set to £200 below the RRP, which must be considered good. Initially the price was set to £799 and the RRP £120 above that. If we’re lucky the price will go down even more before launch.

The second option in the UK is Mobile Fun. They haven’t gone public with the price yet, so it remains to see:

Make sure that you get your Samsung Galaxy Tab as quickly as possible when it’s released, pre-order it today! You do not want to wait longer than necessary on this iPad-killer. I was extremely disappointed with my iPad and sold it after a few days. I know that the Galaxy Tab will be great, just like my Samsung Galaxy S is.

Features:

  • OS: Android OS v2.2 (Froyo)
  • CPU: 1.06GHz processor
  • Messaging: SMS, MMS, Email, Push Mail, Im, RSS
  • Browser: HTML
  • GPS: Yes, with A-GPS support
  • Media player: MP4/DivX,/WMV/H.264/H.263/MP3/WAV/eAAC+/AC3/FLAC
  • Organiser
  • Image/Video Editor
  • Document Editor (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF)
  • Flash Support
  • T9 Predictive text input
  • Standard Battery: Li-Po 4000 mAh
  • 7 Hours movie playback

I know you’re drooling, I sure am. The 7″ screen is HD-Ready and a front and back camera is in place, making video calls and webcam chat a breeze. There will be approximately 200 dedicated Galaxy Tab apps available at launch, but all apps are naturally available for the Galaxy Tab.

Ever tried an iPad? It can’t multitask, it can’t provide driect playback of media files. You just can’t do anything without asking Steve Jobs for permission on beforehand. This is over, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is here!

You can get your Samsung Galaxy Tab 16GB from Mobile Fun below:

It’s official, during the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin Thomas Richter, Samsung’s head of product portfolio confirmed the release of the Galaxy Tab in October. In Europe that is, Asia and the US will have to wait a bit longer (yeees, for once we will be first).

The pricetag wasn’t made official and it was stated that the operators would ultimately determine the prices, we just have to wait. I was said that it would be competitive though. I’m so stoked about this that I can hardly write this post, for more info and tech specs: The Guardian

I will shortly begin to present Samsung Tab Covers and other accessories that’s available for pre-order, feel the joy!

The 7-inch Android tab is just around the corner and we’re holding our breath. Will this be some real competition for the Apple iPad? We sure hope so and think so. Being a proud owner of a Samsung Galaxy S, I can only say that if the Galaxy Tab is as good, there will be competition for the tablet throne.

Have a look at the teaser from Samsung below:

I think that nobody can say something else than that it looks very promising. The features include Android 2.2 Froyo OS, Swype input interface (same as the Galaxy S cell phone series), video calling, HD movie playback, e-reader, GPS Navigation and Flash Support (so Apple, reconsidering Flash Support?). The camera is rumored to be a 3.2 megapixel.

Hopefully it will have the same support for media files that the Galaxy S has, so that you can just transfer your .avi-files to the Galaxy Tab and play them, without any converting or similar. That would be a real strength when comparing it to the iPad. I feel that the iPad is just hopeless when it comes to watching movies because of the needed file conversion.

When the Samsung Galaxy Tab is launched (september 2nd), we will be back as soon as possible with covers, cases and other accessories that you will need to keep your Samsung Galaxy Tab safe and even more trendy than the original.
